चौपाई 2 महिमा तव न मोरे जाई।
आदि अनादि सदा स्थिताई॥
Mahima Tav Na More Jai.
Adi Anadi Sada Sthitai.
Your glory is beyond my power to describe. You are the primordial being without beginning, ever-present and eternal throughout all ages.
चौपाई 3 हेरम्ब गणपति सुखदाता।
विश्वविनायक बुद्धि विधाता॥
Heramba Ganapati Sukhdaata.
Vishvavinayak Buddhi Vidhata.
O Heramba (protector of the weak), Ganapati, giver of joy! O Vishvavinayak, the universal lord, you are the very creator and source of all intelligence and wisdom.
चौपाई 4 ऋद्धि सिद्धि तव चँवर सुहावैं।
मूषक वाहन सोहत आवैं॥
Riddhi Siddhi Tav Chanwar Suhaven.
Mooshak Vahan Sohat Aven.
Riddhi and Siddhi (prosperity and accomplishment) stand at your side waving the royal fan. You arrive gloriously, seated on your mouse vehicle, a symbol of mastery over ego.
चौपाई 5 कहूँ जन्म शंभु तनय कहावत।
कहूँ अयोनिज नाम सुनावत॥
Kahun Janma Shambhu Tanay Kahavat.
Kahun Ayonij Nam Sunawat.
In some accounts you are called the son of Shambhu (Shiva), in others you are said to be born without a womb (Ayonija). Your divine origins transcend ordinary understanding.
चौपाई 6 गणपति नाम अनेक विराजत।
सगुण निर्गुण दोनों साजत॥
Ganapati Nam Anek Virajat.
Sagun Nirgun Dono Sajat.
You are known by countless names, O Ganapati. You manifest equally well as the God with attributes (saguna) and as the formless absolute (nirguna), encompassing both aspects of the divine.

चंद्र सूर्य बसहु नित मन ना॥

Chandr Surya Basahu Nit Man Na.
O Shri Ganesha, beloved son of Girija (Parvati), please dwell forever in my heart as the sun and moon dwell in the sky — giving light and rhythm to my life.
चौपाई 8 चारों वेद तुमहि बखानें।
शारद सहित सुरेश बखानें॥
Charon Ved Tumhi Bakhanen.
Shaarad Sahit Suresh Bakhanen.
All four Vedas sing your praise. Goddess Saraswati (Sharad) together with Indra (Suresh), king of the gods, also join in glorifying your divine greatness.
चौपाई 9 विनायक विघ्नहर देवा।
मेरे मन में करो वासा॥
Vinayak Vighnahar Deva.
Mere Man Men Karo Vasa.
O Vinayaka, destroyer of obstacles, divine lord! Please take up residence in my mind and heart, and remove every difficulty that stands in my path.
चौपाई 10 गजवदन सुत गणपति स्वामी।
जगत पिता तुम अंतर्यामी॥
Gajvadan Sut Ganapati Swami.
Jagat Pita Tum Antaryami.
O elephant-faced son, Lord Ganapati! You are the father of the universe and the inner knower who dwells in every heart, aware of all thoughts and deeds.
चौपाई 11 भाल चंद्र शुचि नयन विशाला।
मस्तक सिंदूर शोभित भाला॥

Mastak Sindoor Shobhit Bhala.
You wear the crescent moon on your forehead and have beautiful wide eyes. Your forehead is adorned with vermillion, making you radiant and full of divine grace.
चौपाई 12 अभय पाश अंकुश धारी।
मोदक भोग सुपुष्टि कारी॥
Abhay Pash Ankush Dhari.
Modak Bhog Supushti Kari.
You hold the gesture of fearlessness (abhaya), the noose, and the goad. You delight in modaka (sweet dumplings), and your grace nourishes and fulfills all who worship you.
चौपाई 13 लंबोदर पीतांबर धारी।
सहस्रभुज रूप भव भारी॥
Lambodar Pitambar Dhari.
Sahasrabhuj Roop Bhav Bhari.
You are the large-bellied one (Lambodar) dressed in yellow garments. In your cosmic form you hold a thousand arms, a sight that fills the universe with wonder and reverence.
चौपाई 14 सर्व प्रथम पूज्य प्रथमेशा।
अखिल दिशाओं के अधिनेशा॥
Sarv Pratham Pujya Prathmesa.
Akhil Dishaon Ke Adhinesa.
You are the first among all beings to be worshipped, O Prathmesh. You are the master and lord of all directions, and no auspicious act begins without your invocation.
चौपाई 15 सिद्धि विनायक विघ्न विनाशन।
मंगल मूरति मोह विनाशन॥

O Siddhi Vinayaka, destroyer of obstacles! O auspicious form, you destroy the illusions of the ego and help devotees see the truth of the divine.
चौपाई 16 मोदक प्रिय मुनि जन मन भावन।
लोक पावन त्रिभुवन पावन॥
Modak Priya Muni Jan Man Bhavan.
Lok Pawan Tribhuvan Pawan.
You love modaka sweets and you are dear to the hearts of sages. You are the purifier of the world and of all three realms of existence.
चौपाई 17 राम नाम सों प्रीति लगावो।
गणपति अपनी भक्ति दिखावो॥
Ram Nam Son Priti Lagavo.
Ganapati Apni Bhakti Dikhavo.
Grant me love for the name of Rama. O Ganapati, reveal your devotion and bestow upon me the gift of sincere and steadfast bhakti (devotion).
चौपाई 18 एकदंत दयावंत चतुरभुजा।
ललित नयन ललाट विभूषा॥

Lalit Nayan Lalat Vibhusha.
You are the single-tusked (Ekadanta), compassionate four-armed lord. Your beautiful eyes and adorned forehead make your divine form enchanting and full of grace.
चौपाई 19 जटाजूट जो जल धार धारत।
शिव सुत नाम सुखद उच्चारत॥
Jatajoot Jo Jal Dhar Dharat.
Shiv Sut Nam Sukhad Uchcharat.
Just as the Ganga flows from Shiva's matted locks, speaking the name of the son of Shiva (Ganesha) brings a purifying stream of bliss and happiness to the soul.
चौपाई 20 दुःख विनाशक सुख के दाता।
गणपति गणेश जगत के त्राता॥
Dukh Vinashak Sukh Ke Data.
Ganapati Ganesh Jagat Ke Trata.
You are the destroyer of sorrow and the giver of happiness. Ganapati Ganesha, you are the savior and protector of the entire world.
चौपाई 21 विद्या देहु बुद्धि देहु मोहि।
धन वैभव सुख देहु भव नाशन॥
Vidya Dehu Buddhi Dehu Mohi.
Dhan Vaibhav Sukh Dehu Bhav Nashan.
Grant me knowledge, grant me wisdom. O destroyer of worldly illusion, please also bestow upon me wealth, prosperity, and true happiness.
चौपाई 22 मातु पिता गुरु स्वामी तुम हो।
त्रिभुवन के स्वामी धर्म धुरी हो॥

Tribhuvan Ke Swami Dharm Dhuri Ho.
You are my mother, my father, my teacher, and my lord. You are the master of all three worlds and the central pillar of righteousness and cosmic order.

You are the ocean of all virtues and the leader of the gods. Your divine seat rests on the noble elephant — you are the king among the elephant-headed beings.
चौपाई 27 देव यक्ष किन्नर मुनि ध्यावत।
सिद्ध साधक जन शीश नवावत॥

Siddha Sadhak Jan Shish Nawavat.
Gods, Yakshas, Kinnaras, and sages meditate upon you. The accomplished masters and spiritual seekers all bow their heads before you in reverence.

जय जय जय गणपति सुखदाता॥
Shiv Suvan Shanmukh Ke Bhrata.
Jai Jai Jai Ganapati Sukhdaata.
You are the son of Shiva and the brother of the six-faced Kartikeya (Shanmukha). Victory, victory, victory to Ganapati, the supreme bestower of joy!
चौपाई 29 भव भय हारी विश्व आधारी।
हे गणनायक जय उच्चारी॥
Bhav Bhay Hari Vishwa Adhari.
He Gananayak Jai Ucchari.
O remover of the fear of worldly existence, the very foundation of the universe! O lord of all ganas, I cry out your victory with full devotion and joy.
चौपाई 30 रिद्धि सिद्धि मंगल दाता।
सब संकट हरता जग त्राता॥

Sab Sankat Harta Jag Trata.
You bestow Riddhi (prosperity) and Siddhi (success) and all auspiciousness. You remove all troubles and are the savior and protector of the entire world.
चौपाई 31 विघ्न विनायक जगत जनाता।
हे प्रभु शीघ्र कृपा दिखाता॥

कहत रहूँ मैं नित जयकारू॥

Kahat Rahun Main Nit Jaikaru.
I would grow weary before I could finish singing all your virtues, O Ganapati! I shall keep chanting your victory cry day and night without pause.
चौपाई 35 गणपति चालीसा जो गावत।
सो नर संकट सों बच जावत॥
Ganapati Chalisa Jo Gavat.
So Nar Sankat Son Bach Jawat.
Whoever sings this Ganesh Chalisa is saved from all troubles and difficulties. The protection of Lord Ganesha surrounds them like an impenetrable divine shield.
चौपाई 36 विद्यारंभ विवाह नव काजू।
गणपति आगे पूजहु आजू॥

चौपाई 37 जो सत बार करे पाठ चालीसा।
होइ सिद्धि सुख समृद्धि अनीसा॥
Jo Sat Bar Kare Path Chalisa.
Hoi Siddhi Sukh Samriddhi Anisa.
Whoever recites this Chalisa one hundred times attains spiritual accomplishment, happiness, and unlimited prosperity. Such is the miraculous power of this sacred hymn.
चौपाई 38 बुधवार को पाठ करे जो कोई।
संकट सों बचे सुखी नर होई॥
