Unlike Western horoscopes based on the Sun sign, Vedic Rashifal uses the Moon sign as the primary reference point. What is the difference between Rashifal and a Western horoscope?
Western horoscopes are based on your Sun sign (tropical zodiac). Vedic Rashifal uses your Moon sign (Rashi) in the sidereal zodiac with Lahiri Ayanamsa. The sidereal and tropical zodiacs are currently about 23–24° apart, so your Vedic Rashi is typically one sign behind your Western Sun sign. Vedic Rashifal also factors in Dasha periods for personalized readings.
How is Rashifal calculated?
