Puja Vidhi (Step by Step)
- 1 Clean and decorate the home; make a rangoli and Lakshmi footprints at the entrance.
- 2 Place Lakshmi and Ganesha on a red cloth and take a Sankalp.
- 3 Invoke the Goddess and offer flowers, kumkum and akshat.
- 4 Light the ghee lamps around the home and the puja area.
- 5 Offer sweets, kheel-batasha and the silver coin.
- 6 Recite the Lakshmi Chalisa and aarti, meditating on prosperity and gratitude.
- 7 Perform the aarti and distribute prasad; keep a lamp burning through the night on Diwali.
